We hope the following
information will help you to plan your journey to The Moorings in the Isle of Whithorn.
From the North
of England, leave the M6/M74 and join the A75 to Stranraer at Gretna, just north of Carlisle. Continue through to Newton Stewart, turning left at the Newton Stewart roundabout junction signposted Wigtown - National
Book Town - on the A714.
Before Wigtown, take the B7005 turn-off signposted Whithorn. At Bladnoch, this road
becomes the A746. Continue through Whithorn and follow the signs for the B7004 to the Isle of Whithorn which is about 2 miles
to the south of Whithorn.
When you arrive in the village, take the second turning on the right which brings you
into Tonderghie Road and The Moorings sits a few doors up on the right-hand side at no. 23.
From Ayrshire and the North, take the A77 from Ayr to Girvan, then follow the A714 signposted Newton
Stewart. Drive through Newton Stewart to the A75 roundabout and continue straight over for Wigtown.
Before Wigtown,
take the B7005 turn-off signposted Whithorn. At Bladnoch, this road becomes the A746. Continue through Whithorn and follow
the signs for the B7004 to the Isle of Whithorn which is about 2 miles to the south of Whithorn.
When you arrive
in the village, take the second turning on the right which brings you into Tonderghie Road and The Moorings sits a few doors
up on the right-hand side at no. 23.
