The Moorings, located in the
picturesque Isle of Whithorn which received Scottish Community of the Year Award for two years in succession, is an idyllic
place to 'get away from it all'.
A traditional stone house dating back to the eighteenth century, this comfortably furnished
home overlooking the attractive harbour is also the perfect base from which to explore all that this part of Galloway has
to offer.
With its stunning coastline, sandy beaches, unspoilt countryside and views out to
sea, the area is also rich in history. Visitors can either enjoy a relaxing holiday drinking in their surroundings or can
take part in some of the many pursuits available which include walking, biking, golf, climbing, sailing, diving, fishing,
bird-watching, hunting and archaeology. The area is also perfect for star-gazing, having some of the darkest skies in Europe.
